Portugal’s golden memories Iconic memories and images from Rally de Portugal are recalled in a new book commemorating the 50th anniversary of one of the WRC’s classic events. Rally de Portugal 50 Years tells the story of one of the championship’s founding rounds through the eyes of a dozen leading journalists and historians. It is supported by superb archive photography dating back to the inaugural encounter in 1967. The book spotlights the rally’s most successful drivers, including five-time winner Markku Alén, Sébastien Ogier, who bids to match that tally at next week’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal (18 - 21 May), Miki Biasion and Colin McRae.
