Eriksson dominates second Daytona final
Sebastian Eriksson claimed victory in the second element of the Daytona Red Bull Global Rallycross double-header on Sunday in his Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta. Former IndyCar racer Jeff Ward qualified on the pole in his Ganassi-run Ford, but elected to start from the inside of the second row. Eriksson instead took the inside pole from Ken Block and Eriksson’s teammate Joni Wiman. Eriksson, Block and Ward took their joker lap at the first opportunity, and although Block tried to hang around the outside of Eriksson at Turn 2 on to the dirt, the Swede held on.
