Turán loses podium position at Rally Catalunya
Hungary’s Frigyes Turán has lost his podium finish in the WRC2 category at the 2016 Rally Catalunya – Rally de España. Turán, who finished the mixed surface rally in third, was given a 25-minute time penalty for breaking FIA Technical Regulations, according to the Stewards, demoting him to eighth. Firstly, the Hungarian’s Ford Fiesta R5 was found to be over the FIA Technical Regulations for car weight in terms of suspension. Turán’s Ford Fiesta R5 had a heavier left/right suspension wishbone/arms at 3296 and 3218 grams respectively.
