Meeke: Partial programme could be ideal scenario
Britain's Kris Meeke reckons his partial programme this year could be the “ideal scenario” as Citroen prepares for its comeback in 2017. Citroen will take a sabbatical from the WRC this year, but will continue to compete on an unofficial basis, with the Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team running DS 3 WRCs prepared by PH Sport. Meeke is currently slated to do “several rounds” with the DS 3 WRC, in addition to helping Citroen develop its all-new car for 2017 when the regulations change. “With next year's calendar now including the extra event in China, certainly between August and November there's hardly time to breathe - even if you're just competing.
