Solberg honoured by Wales Rally GB
The 40-year-old former world champion will be named Rally Legend at the Deeside-based event. He will follow in the wheel tracks of Ari Vatanen, who was similarly recognised in 2014 when the award was introduced to celebrate the achievements of a past hero. Solberg is one of only two drivers to have won the rally four times, from 2002 - 2005. His second win, partnered by Welsh co-driver Phil Mills, sparked huge celebrations at the finish of the final special stage in Margam Park as they secured the world title. “As many already know, this is an event which is very close to my heart for so many reasons.
