Latvala wins Lahti Historic Rally for fifth time
Volkswagen's Jari-Matti Latvala has taken his fifth victory in the Lahti Historic Rally repeating his successes from 2014, 2013, 2010 and 2009. Latvala, who won Rally Finland last weekend, the eighth round in the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship, was at the wheel of his own Audi Quattro, eventually triumphing by over 3.5 minutes. Mikko Hirvonen was second in his Ford Escort RS, 31.5s up on Veli-Matti Saarelainen's Opel Ascona 400. “Happy face for a very happy weekend!” Latvala wrote on his official Facebook page. “Lot of pleasure in the car, in the stages and the victory feels always good!” An amazing weekend with a victory at the end!
